Research Paper on Chewing Tobacco Essay Example For Students

Exploration Paper on Chewing Tobacco Essay Breanna Brecks Mr. Drobny English 101 Period 4 17 November 2013 Smokeless Tobacco You dont smoke it. You dont swallow it. Everything you do is slosh it around your mouth and let out the earthy colored Juices like clockwork (Bellenir 79). Lets investigate the subject smokeless tobacco (ST), all the more generally known as biting tobacco, spitting tobacco, bite, snuff, plunge, or spit. Smokeless tobacco comes in two structures: biting tobacco or snuff (Top Facts: Spit/Smokeless Tobacco). My interest in biting tobacco was initially about the destructive symptoms that this type of tobacco takes on an individual. Be that as it may, as I began to ponder biting tobacco, I started to think about what age bunch is basically affected by biting tobacco and how cigarettes contrast with smokeless tobacco. To start, considers show that smokeless tobacco is utilized for the most part by secondary school and undergrads. In the mid seventies, men from the age seventeen to nineteen utilized smokeless tobacco not exactly some other age gathering. Studies in the previous barely any years show that this age bunch has the most noteworthy number of smokeless tobacco clients than some other age bunch today (Smokeless Tobacco Facts). As Karen Bellenir put it in her book Tobacco Information for Teens, As numerous as 20% of secondary school young men and 2% of secondary school young ladies utilize smokeless tobacco, as indicated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Of the 12 to 14 million American clients, 33% are under age 21, and the greater part of those built up the propensity before they were 13 (80). In spite of the fact that insights show that the biggest age bunch is under twenty one years of age, three percent of American grown-ups are additionally smokeless tobacco clients and around sixteen percent of competitors utilize mokeless tobacco as well (Top Facts: Spit/Smokeless Tobacco). The destructive symptoms of smokeless tobacco can be part into two classes: the quick impacts and the conceivable long haul impacts. The prompt impacts comprise of terrible breath, recolored teeth, and around 70% of the clients report that it causes bruises in their mouth (Bellenir 82). This doesnt appear to be really awful and can likely be relieved by a bit of gum, brushing of the teeth, and some infrequent mouth wash, in any case, the conceivable long haul impacts dont appear to be so minor and effortlessly fixed. The more genuine results of smokeless tobacco are splitting of the lips and gums, retreating gums which can prompt teeth dropping out, expanded pulse and hypertension which raise the danger of a coronary episode, loss of taste buds, and to wrap things up, malignant growth (Bellenir 82). Oral malignant growth can happen to the lips, the cheeks, the gums, base and top of the mouth, and the tongue. Yet, that is not all the malignant growth that smokeless tobacco can cause, ST reaches out in destructive abilities to different pieces of the body as well. It can cause malignant growth of the stomach, larynx, throat, stepping stool, and an expanded danger of cardiovascular maladies (Top Facts: Spit/Smokeless Tobacco). smokeless tobacco can have on an individual on the off chance that it is utilized to a significant stretch of time. The two of them bite tobacco for most of their professions. About forty years after Tuttles baseball profession finished, within Tuttles cheek become an immense tumor and it in the end extended through the skin outwardly of his cheek as well. At the point when the specialists evacuated his tumor they additionally needed to expel a great deal of his face. Smokeless tobacco eventually cost Tuttle his Jawbone, his correct cheekbone, most of his eeth gum line, and his capacity to taste. Angel Ruth had an oropharyngeal tumor, which is a carcinogenic tumor situated in the rear of the throat. .u90e5b52d047aed2f610a70f34a460851 , .u90e5b52d047aed2f610a70f34a460851 .postImageUrl , .u90e5b52d047aed2f610a70f34a460851 .focused content zone { min-tallness: 80px; position: relative; } .u90e5b52d047aed2f610a70f34a460851 , .u90e5b52d047aed2f610a70f34a460851:hover , .u90e5b52d047aed2f610a70f34a460851:visited , .u90e5b52d047aed2f610a70f34a460851:active { border:0!important; } .u90e5b52d047aed2f610a70f34a460851 .clearfix:after { content: ; show: table; clear: both; } .u90e5b52d047aed2f610a70f34a460851 { show: square; progress: foundation shading 250ms; webkit-change: foundation shading 250ms; width: 100%; mistiness: 1; progress: darkness 250ms; webkit-change: haziness 250ms; foundation shading: #95A5A6; } .u90e5b52d047aed2f610a70f34a460851:active , .u90e5b52d047aed2f610a70f34a460851:hover { obscurity: 1; progress: murkiness 250ms; webkit-progress: mistiness 250ms; foundation shading: #2C3E50; } .u90e5b52d047aed2f610a70f34a460851 .focused content territory { width: 100%; position: rel ative; } .u90e5b52d047aed2f610a70f34a460851 .ctaText { fringe base: 0 strong #fff; shading: #2980B9; text dimension: 16px; textual style weight: striking; edge: 0; cushioning: 0; text-enrichment: underline; } .u90e5b52d047aed2f610a70f34a460851 .postTitle { shading: #FFFFFF; text dimension: 16px; text style weight: 600; edge: 0; cushioning: 0; width: 100%; } .u90e5b52d047aed2f610a70f34a460851 .ctaButton { foundation shading: #7F8C8D!important; shading: #2980B9; outskirt: none; fringe sweep: 3px; box-shadow: none; text dimension: 14px; textual style weight: intense; line-stature: 26px; moz-outskirt range: 3px; text-adjust: focus; text-beautification: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-tallness: 80px; foundation: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/modules/intelly-related-posts/resources/pictures/straightforward arrow.png)no-rehash; position: total; right: 0; top: 0; } .u90e5b52d047aed2f610a70f34a460851:hover .ctaButton { foundation shading: #34495E!important; } .u90e5b52d04 7aed2f610a70f34a460851 .focused content { show: table; tallness: 80px; cushioning left: 18px; top: 0; } .u90e5b52d047aed2f610a70f34a460851-content { show: table-cell; edge: 0; cushioning: 0; cushioning right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-adjust: center; width: 100%; } .u90e5b52d047aed2f610a70f34a460851:after { content: ; show: square; clear: both; } READ: Articles Of Confederation (710 words) EssayIn the end, biting tobacco asserted both of these keeps an eye on lives at a genuinely youthful age (Bellenir 81-82). Idiom Corner The Exception That Proves the Rule

Colloquialism Corner The Exception That Proves the Rule Colloquialism Corner: The Exception That Proves the Rule â€Å"The exemption that demonstrates the rule† is a normally abused expression in English. However it’s likewise one that the vast majority have heard, so let us explain how a special case can demonstrate a standard. The Exception That Proves the Rule Bookkeepers are infamous food thieves.(Image: Enokson/flickr) This expression has its beginnings in a Latin legitimate rule that expressed â€Å"the special case affirms the standard in cases not excepted.† at the end of the day, when there’s an exemption to a standard, we realize that there must be a standard to which it is an exemption (in any event, when this standard isn’t unequivocal). For instance, in the event that you see a sign saying â€Å"No food or drink in the library,† you can work out from this by itself that food and drink is permitted in different spots. So the special case (i.e., â€Å"No food or drink in the library†) demonstrates that another standard must exist (i.e., â€Å"Food and drink is allowed outside of the library†). This is the first utilization of the expression and still the â€Å"correct† use for some enthusiastic dogmatists. Be that as it may, it isn't what the vast majority currently mean by â€Å"the special case that demonstrates the rule.† Read on to discover more. Current Usage Old Latin lawful standards are not too well known any longer. Thusly, the expression â€Å"the special case that demonstrates the rule† has taken on another significance. These days, at that point, it generally implies the special case that tests the standard. This depends on a meaning of â€Å"proves† that we likewise find in phrases like â€Å"proving ground,† â€Å"the reality is in the eating,† and even in â€Å"proofreading.† In every one of these cases, â€Å"proof† implies test something to watch that it’s legitimate or right. All things considered, a special case can â€Å"prove† a standard in the event that it makes us question it (or even reject it). For instance, we may believeâ â€Å"everyone adores pudding† generally speaking. Be that as it may, the presence of one individual who detests pudding would then be a special case that â€Å"proves† or tests this standard. Who put the evidence in the pudding?(Images: Rita E F=q(E+v^B)) You’ll need to evade this use in formal composition, as it depends on a disarray. In any case, individuals will comprehend what you mean on the off chance that you use â€Å"the special case that demonstrates the rule† along these lines in discussion. How Not to Use the Phrase This expression is utilized in another manner now and again: i.e., taking â€Å"the special case that demonstrates the rule† to mean an exemption can affirm a standard. Lamentably, this doesn't bode well since it includes an immediate logical inconsistency. For example, let us come back to the world wherein â€Å"everyone cherishes pudding† is a standard. In the event that an exemption couldâ â€Å"confirm† this, we would need to treat somebody who abhors pudding as â€Å"proof† our unique principle was valid. Also, this is plainly foolish, just as unreasonable on individuals who don’t like pudding. Outline: The Exception That Proves the Rule To sum up, this expression has two normal employments: In formal composition, a special case can â€Å"prove† the presence of an implicit guideline (i.e., if there is an exemption to a standard, there must be a standard to which it is an exemption). This unique utilization of the expression is uncommon in present day English. The advanced utilization of this expression is to mean â€Å"the special case that tests the rule† (i.e., an exemption that makes us question a standard). Nonetheless, you ought to never utilize this expression to mean â€Å"the special case affirms the rule.† This would be erroneous and strange. Furthermore, in the event that you need somebody to ensure you’re utilizing figures of speech effectively, let us know.

How to Write a Resume When Youre Just Out of College

How to Write a Resume When Youre Just Out of College I was there quite recently Fresh out of college: mum and dad were so proud, I was happy, life was good.Unfortunately, in my case this blessed state lasted for about five minutes.I soon realized that my college education took approximately four years of my life, that I need to find a job and that I have absolutely no idea how to do this.Don’t get me wrong… I knew what I should be doing, but for some reason, I found every step of this process extremely exhausting and even, depressive.Resume drafting turned out to be a complete challenge but not for reasons you’ll probably think of intuitively…For me, the hardest part was to let go of my idea of a resume and how it should look like.Namely, I believed that a resume with no relevant work experience is not a resume at all! So, I knew I needed a resume but couldn’t get myself to ignore this annoying voice telling me that I do not have anything relevant to put there.I seriously didn’t know where to start but I knew there must be a solution! So, I did what any other average person in the 21st century would do… I googled this situation and tried to find answers for myself and my jobless misery. As you may presume, I found many hacks, tips and tricks one can use to draft a good resume even if lacking work experience.Having collected much of this wisdom, I decided to try to sum up some of those advices I myself found most useful or interesting…Therefore, bear with me and do not despair! Definitely do not hate yourself for “throwing away” 3-5 years on your college education. You didn’t “throw away” anything and nothing is lost. You simply need to learn to…WORK AROUND THE LACK OF EXPERIENCE!Easier said than done. You are probably thinking: what is there to work around?I totally understand. I thought the exact same thing while reading similar advices. But then I started wondering… What was I doing for the past couple of years if not investing into myself? I wasn’t working full time, that is true.Ho wever, I wasn’t having the time of my life either… I was studying like crazy, doing major and elective courses, trying to squeeze in sport and languages and fun was really at the bottom of my endless ‘to-do list’.And thinking about all of this made me realize: I was, in fact, working during my college years. I was working on myself while obtaining priceless education. I was developing useful skills and valuable abilities and economically speaking, was investing into myself. The idea behind it all was to utilize the obtained knowledge on the job market when the time comes and while studying, I never got the impression I was wasting my time. So, this was a first step towards the shift in a perspective…Understanding that I really wasn’t fooling around or wasting anything. The other thing which helped me change my perspective was imagining my resume without my education section.I imagined work experience on that place, but the work experience I could have obtained solely with H igh school was not really something I would be aiming at long term.I already had a few part-time jobs of this kind, but it was really my education that had the biggest significance on my resume. This made my proud and partially returned my self-confidence. And that is how I actually realized what it means to work around your lack of experience.Don’t focus on it! Don’t insist on what’s missing, highlight assets you already have.Focus on your strengths. And definitely, try to stay confident!Tell the world (and recruiters) what you have been doing for the past couple of years. Not everyone decides to sacrifice their time, energy and free time to commit to studying. Therefore, you will want to elaborate on your sense of commitment but also everything you have learned during this time. You are unique and worthy, but it is only after you realize it and learn how to market your assets, you can hope for others to realize this as well. So, let me help you to a successful career start with a set of helpful tipps… BEGINNING OF A RESUME: RESUME SUMMARY OR RESUME OBJECTIVE The first inevitable question is: How do I begin? What do I write after personal information section (you always need this one)?Resume summary or resume objective. Both are equally good and/or useful, the important question is: which one works better for you?Resume summary is a short summary of your background, most important strengths and simply, a way to explain what you can offer to the employer. A good summary should not be more than 5 sentences and it can also be presented in a form of bullet points as well, e.g.: “An experienced English translator with over 10 years of experience. Motivated, inter-cultural and flexible. Excited for new challenges and opportunities, especially interested in alternative learning methods.”A resume objective is a way to convince an employer/s you know what you want in your career. It should be a clear, structured message, e.g.: “An experienced English transla tor with over 10 years of experience, actively searching for opportunities in international corporations.”If written well, both resume and objective, can and should spark recruiter’s attention and lure him/her to take a closer look at your application. If you have a really clear career perspective or you know exactly what you want, a career objective may be better suited for you. Also, it may be better suited for beginners because it states what you want or are aiming at and is not stressing out your prior achievements/experience.Naturally, it is not written in stone that a career resume must focus on ones’ professional achievements. It can be a subtle way to stress out some of your soft-skills and personal qualities. Some people like to use a quote which describes them well instead of a conventional resume summary… Personally, this doesn’t work for me as I don’t feel comfortable or professional quoting other people on my resume.Nevertheless, I did come across a few example s where this kind of beginning made a truly strong impression and was very successful with recruiters. Therefore, there are no strict rules. You should decide what works better for you by taking your personality and a concrete job application into consideration… Test a few options out and simply decide what you like best!ORDER: EDUCATION FIRST, PRIOR EXPERIENCE SECONDYour resume should focus on stressing out your most important achievements. For highly skilled professionals with 20+ years of experience, prior work experience is, naturally, more valuable than their university education. The education was, of course, a necessary step but since they already got there where they are now, a future company will be much more interested to hear about what they actually did, not studied. And this is exactly why they put their work experience section first and elaborate on that in a lot more detail than their education (except in certain very specific cases: researchers, PhD candidates etc.).In your case, being a fresh-out-of-college candidate, you won’t have any relevant work experience to elaborate on.Your biggest asset is your education! And this is by no means a bad thing.Everybody must start somewhere and being a holder of an academic title is already a huge thing. For this reason, you will want a recruiter to pay attention to your education, rather than your work experience. How will you do this?Well, first of all, you will put it higher on your resume. So, the next section following resume objection or summary will be the education section. And yes, this is perfectly fine and in fact, advisable for juniors, recent graduates and/or students. With time, this order may and will change. The more experience you gain, the more important your experience section will be and at one point, you will only mention your education in a few short bullet points, below the work experience section.Nevertheless, for now, you will want to follow this order: education first, experience se cond.EDUCATIONAL FOCUS INSTEAD OF WORK EXPERIENCE FOCUSWhen speaking of education, we are not done with this topic just yetYou now know that you can place focus on your education by putting it higher on a resume, but you can additionally highlight it by adding more details and by elaborating your achievements thoroughly.Try looking at it this way: space on your resume is limited, you need to use it wisely. Therefore, you will focus only on things that look good for you. Here are a few things you can consider mentioning:Include your majors and electives, especially those courses which could be useful for the job you are applying for. Naturally, you shouldn’t list all courses you ever took and passed but you should be able to distinct a few specific employer would find useful or interesting. You can mention interesting courses you took during your studies: Art courses, languages, sport team memberships… Something that can draw attention to your resume. If you had a scholarship, you c an put that in your resume as well. And especially if a scholarship depended on high performance in a specific field (grades, sports etc.).You can and should mention any volunteering work or membership in college organizations. Recruiters tend to find these very interesting. This shows that you have interests, organizational skills and dedication which is directed not only towards books and good grades. When it comes to grades average, opinions are divided. Some say you should disclose it, others that you shouldn’t. Basically, if you feel very confident about your average, I don’t see a reason why you shouldn’t disclose it.Personally, I always considered my average good but not excellent which is why I only mentioned that I graduated with honors and skipped the exact numbers.Furthermore, if you are applying in different countries or places where you aren’t sure they will understand how good or bad your grades average is, it may be simpler to just skip this information. Finally : When in doubt whether an information is worth sharing, you may consider asking a skilled professional you know or a friend with more experience in this field to check your resume. A fresh perspective can’t hurt!In any event, do make sure to stress out how valuable your education was, everything you learned and highlight anything that could present you as more qualified or skilled (in employer’s view).ELABORATE PRIOR EXPERIENCE (EVEN IF IT SEEMS IRRELEVANT)I have no work experience. This is such a common phrase, right? I (regularly) used it for quite a while after my graduation. However, this phrase is rarely completely true…And I will explain why in a minute.Part-time jobs and jobs unrelated to your studies can be a valuable experience as well. They may not sound fancy and may seem irrelevant to you now but try looking at it from a different perspective.A job at a bar or a coffee shop shows dedication, patience, people and communication skills.A job in McDonalds shows the sam e, plus, a very stress-resistant personality and the ability to react quickly. And don’t even get me started about tutoring jobs or part-time jobs on campus. The name of the institution is already sufficient to boost your profile. Most importantly, all jobs you ever held demonstrate two remarkable qualities: Consciousness and readiness to work. And trust me, employers do appreciate these. You may think it is completely normal to work during studies, but some people actually feel they should not be working at all during their college years.Furthermore, people who have no prior work experience have more issues with organization, commitments and hierarchies. And employers are aware of this.It is very simple really: Every new experience is hard. Past experiences help you predict what is going to happen and deal with new challenges easier. If a person has no previous experience whatsoever, he/she may experience potential anxiety and will, most probably, get familiar with the job and obliga tions later.Don’t get me wrong, I do not want to discourage candidates with absolutely no experience from applying for jobs.I rather wish to say that having a work experience, regardless of what it is, can be an extremely valuable asset, both on a resume and in practice. Therefore, if you are a student or a recent graduate, reconsider whether there is not some past experience you failed to mention.I was a waitress, a babysitter and a tutor during my studies and no, these positions weren’t directly contributing to my long-term goals. They also weren’t very prestigious either!Nevertheless, these jobs demonstrated my readiness to finance my studies and a few other qualities, such as: responsibility, communication skills, organizational skills and teaching abilities. Therefore, despite my worries about some of my friends having high-scale, prestigious internships, I still decided to mention these jobs on my first resume. There will always be someone better or more experienced than yo u. Nevertheless, you should always try to focus on your experience, your story and what you can offer to the employer.Don’t be too hard on yourself. Even employers in big and fancy companies know how hard a job of a waitress or a bartender can be and they will appreciate your effort and responsibility.Chances are they were also there once.ELABORATE ON RELEVANT EXTRACURRICULARS, HOBBIES AND SKILLSHaving my resume updated recently, someone advised me to delete my hobbies / extracurriculars (not the skills section though). To be honest, I am still thinking about it because the advice came from a person highly skilled in these matters while I personally, lean in favor of this section. I think it adds a bit of a personal touch and can make you “stand out” in the crowd. Now, I am still a recent graduate but I do have a couple of work experiences and relevant skills to put on my resume so I am a slightly different category. For those of you who do not have major work experience and are worried about what to put in there, definitely consider hobbies and extracurriculars as a separate section. It will show your interests, it will demonstrate that you manage to find time for different things and recruiters may even feel drawn to your profile owing to common interests!People tend to prefer similar people and a common hobby / interest could be a good starting point. If a recruiter shares your passion, being a semi-professional cyclist can easily be a big plusfor your application, regardless of the fact you are applying for a position of a junior accountant. It happened to me that I was chatting about my hobbies and interests on my first job interview… A recruiter asked me to elaborate my “interest in history and art” and we actually ended up discussing WW 2.This is a true story and I did ultimately get this job!Regardless of how insecure you may feel, you are not just your studies or your previous experience. Employers are generally interested about other things you can bring to the table and they love seeing someone with a wide range of interests, hobbies and ultimately, knowledge.Additional Tipp: You may want to find a bit more about a recruiter or a manager you may end up dealing with in an interview. If you can find out a few things about his/hers interests and hobbies, it may be wise to consider matching these.Of course, I would never say I like football regardless of anything. Do try to keep it real! When speaking of skills section, this one is pretty much mandatory for both, experienced professionals and entry level candidates. You will want to include both, “hard” and “soft” skills:Include anything that makes sense: languages, computer skills (esp. programming, coding, working in specific programs), driver’s license, debating skills, public speaking and writing skills etc.The more leverage you can provide, the better. If you participated in debate clubs, if you are publishing articles in the university papers or are writing a b log… Don’t be shy, put it all out there!Soft skills are also useful, and they are surely worth mentioning, especially when you have a relevant experience to back this up. This means that you should briefly elaborate why you consider yourself to be organized, flexible or inter-cultural and this is especially important in cases of candidates with little or no experience. At least think about it before an interview, recruiter will most probably ask you for examples or explanations. Therefore, both hobbies/interests and skills sections are very useful and should be used wisely by entry level candidates. What do you consider your genuine strengths are? What do you think other people would consider interesting about you? What is it about you that makes you proud other and people could consider price worthy?I always mention jogging and I proudly stress out that I ran a half-marathon.Some recruiters couldn’t care less, some love it, but most importantly, this kind of information will ra rely work against you, while at the same time, can easily work in your favor. CONSIDER ALTERNATIVE FORMATTINGApart from minding the order in your resume (education first), you may want to think about its format as well. There are specific resume formats customized for people with little or no experience. Why am I stressing formatting out?Because you can really use this to your advantage and make your resume stand out with the help of interesting templates or color use. And this can be a big advantage for junior level candidates! It can be relevant for senior level candidates as well, however, they usually manage to stand out with the help of their experience and recruiters are generally more interested in hunting them than the other way around. That is why you generally notice experienced professionals rather modest and plain resumes while junior level candidates appear to have dedicated a lot more attention to the resume looks and format. This is true and it is so for the above-mentione d reason. So, think about tricks which will help you highlight your assets not only verbally but visually as well.Furthermore, think about the company you are applying for: You may consider customizing your resume so that colors on it match the logo or official colors of the company.Of course, this shouldn’t be too obvious, but such subtle cues may trigger a subconscious impression that you are already fitting with the company’s image. Finally, while still at the beginning, you may want to keep your resume shorter, so one is fine and definitely do not write more than two A4 pages. Quality should always prevail over quantity.Give it a nice format and keep it clear and concrete.FINAL TOUCHES AND TIPPSYou should definitely pay attention to the content of your resume, but this is not the only thing you will be focusing on.As already mentioned, the resume looks can make a significant difference and basically, everything is important.Pay attention to the picture! If you decide to put it on a resume, you will want a picture to present you in the best way possible. It should be nice and professional: you should be presented on an above waist portrait with a pleasant smile, wearing a professional outfit. From my experience, investing in a resume photo done by a professional really pays off, but of course, the choice is up to you.Next thing: Pay attention to the font you choose for the text. Although, there are hundreds of fonts you can use, I think it is better to stick to conventional ones (e.g. Times new roman, Calibri, Ariel, Georgia etc.). It may not look so interesting but keeping it simple tends to be smarter.Extra Tipp: When submitting both, Cover Letter and a resume, it may be advisable to use the same font on both documents. It looks neater and demonstrates attention to detail.Extra Tipp 1: Even though you are still a beginner, do consider making a LinkedIn profile and using this tool to connect with potential recruiters and colleagues. It can be a very usefu l tool, especially when considering the importance of reference and connections by the job hunt.At the beginning, you will probably use it to just connect with university classmates and acquaintances but with time, recruiters may start approaching you.Attach your resume to your LinkedIn profile and let them notice you! Also, there are a lot of interesting articles, courses and job postings that you can check out on LinkedIn and finally, this network can help you when researching for a concrete job application. Finally, this is something rather intuitive and logical, however, it may be useful to repeat it just in case. You will need to update your resume with every relevant experience or change which happens on a professional plan… Any relevant trainings, projects or successes, make sure you include it!Also, you will want to revisit your resume with every new job application and think about what you wish to highlight and point out for that particular vacancy…Still, let us not get to o unrealistic. Rare are those who really modify a resume with every job application and especially in the case of beginners, there is really nottoo much information or experience to play with anyway…Nevertheless, do make sure to remember that your resume can and should undergo modifications, hence, that you should update it following relevant developments in your career. And my final and most important advice would be: keep it positive and do not give up! Job hunt is hard, rejections are painful, and you probably already wondered whether the whole struggle is worth it.I want to tell you that it is… Once you get where you want to be, this will all seem ridiculous and funny and you will perceive your beginner’s struggles in a different light.Keep up the confident attitude and remember that someone out there needs someone just like you and that your worth and qualities will be recognized when the time is right.Your only job is to present yourself in the best way possible and you c an start doing that right now, by drafting or updating your resume.Get to work, there are so many exciting opportunities waiting for you!

Comparing the Concepts of Seeming and Being in Relation...

Comparing the Concepts of Seeming and Being in Relation to Political Power and Leadership in The Prince and The Republic 9. Machiavelli says the prince only has to seem good, not be good. Socrates insists that seeming is bad, being is good. Is it better to remain in the cave with Machiavelli, or see the light with Socrates? Write three pages for Machiavelli and against Socrates, write another three pages against Machiavelli and for Socrates. Both Niccolà ² Machiavelli and Plato, in their works The Prince and The Republic (respectively), address the concepts of seeming and being in relation to political power and leadership, however they do so in two distinct manners. In the Republic, Socrates insists that seeming is bad, and†¦show more content†¦They have gained this knowledge because they have spent the majority of their lifetimes preparing to rule. The other two classes of people in the Republic, the warriors and the moneymakers, can really only see what seems to be, and occasionally what really is. They simply rely on the philosopher/rulers to be knowledgeable and always act in the best interests of the community as a whole. The parable of the cave is evident here. Socrates tells Glaucon a tale of men in a cave. These men have been â€Å"chained foot and neck since childhood† (Plato 514a). The chains prevent them from turning around; they can face only forward towards a wall. Directly behind them is a low wall, behind that a road, and behind that a burning fire. People pass by on the road between the backs of the men and the fire, casting shadows onto the wall directly in front of the men. Sometimes these people carry things, and on occasion they speak. Since the men cannot turn their heads, and never have been able to, they must assume that the shadows they see on the wall are real images. Likewise, they assume that the noise they hear is made by the shadows on the wall and not by the passersby. These men â€Å"would firmly believe truth to be the shadows of artificial objects† (Plato 515c). Socrates then proposes that one of the men is set free, drug from the cave and told that all he now sees is truer and more real th an what he saw before. The Dark Side Of Animal Testing - 1255 Words

The Dark Side of Animal Testing Every year, a multitude of animals of all different shapes, sizes, and species are taken from their homes. These animals are subjected to animal testing, the use of animals in order to gain control over the variables that affect our bodies behavior. People are taking these animals from their homes to research and study things that could easily be tested using alternate methods. So a very important question stands, why do corporations continue to test on animals? Due to its unethical nature, animal testing should no longer be practiced anywhere in the world. The harsh reality of the pain caused during animal testing is quite hard for some people to bare. Animal testing’s barbaric methods lead to extreme pain for the animals, whether the pain is mental or physical. For example, a large majority of the intelligent animals subjected to animal testing display the same behavioral signs that a tortured human being exhibits (Goodman). These intelligent animals suffer from severe anxiety, depression, hair loss and other physical and mental illnesses and engage in self-destructive behavior such as biting themselves and pulling out their own hair (Goodman). This is due to the emotional and physical trauma that is induced. Martin Wasserman, former Maryland secretary of Health and Hygiene wrote, â€Å"Animals used in chemical testing- always alive and fully conscious- are never given pain relief. Introduction to Business Management Free Essays

In order for an organization to be successful they must hire and retain talented and productive employees to keep the business going strong. In order to ensure that the organization is hiring the correct employee the business must come up with an organized plan, or a pre-hilling assessment plan to properly screen all potential candidates for the Job. According to an online article from AR Associates, Interviews alone cannot properly screen a potential hire, the Interview Is only about twenty five percent accurate in placing the proper individual (AR Associates, 2013). We will write a custom essay sample on Introduction to Business Management or any similar topic only for you Order Now If an organization was in the process of hiring for the open position of the President of a major retail store chain they would want to ensure they had a thorough pre-hire assessment plan prior to accepting applications or conducting any interviews. Obviously this position is at the top of the chain and very important to the organization’s success. Therefore, it is very important that the company does its homework up front and increases the chances of hiring the right person the first time. The first step to ensuring the organization Is ready to hire the position of President Is to employ a Job modeling methodology which will be utilized to Identify personal competencies that are required to perform the specific Job that Is being hired (Fisher, 2011). Ensuring this Is accomplished from the start will allow the company to run a comparison between different job candidates, which in turn will ensure the correct applicant is ultimately selected for the position. This process also helps an organization reduce unnecessary turn over. After the Job description is written and approved the next step would be to research the potential candidates Job history by talking to previous supervisors as ell as the upper management of their previous Job or jobs. This will allow the manager to assess the candidates skills based on previous job experience and may also give some Information on the candidates personality and aptitude for the Job. Since this Job Is at the top level it is Important that the pre-hiring assessment also Include various tests for measuring key competencies, such as: achievement tests, which will help measure how well the candidate has been trained; Integrity tests, which measures the candidates attitudes towards dishonesty: and last but not least he biographical inventory, which will help the employer determine the type of person the candidate is by looking into their prior history (Fisher, 2011). Different levels of positions require different levels of screening in order to get the right candidate into the position. For a position as high up as President it is important for the company to screen the candidate for how strategic, rule conscious, motivating, and emotionally intelligent they are by administering cognitive, personality, and ability tests (Fisher, 2011). Once the organization has developed the necessary pre-hire assessment plan It Is extremely Important that the staff members administering the interviews, tests, and analyzing the results are educated regarding this process and that they understand they must keep this Information confidential (Fisher, 2011). The employer should also give feedback to candidates that are not hired to ensure candidates think there is a discriminatory reason they did not get hired it will also help them in the future hiring process (Fisher, 2011). Overall it is necessary for an organization to employ a pre-hiring assessment plan to keep the playing field fair; however, it is equally important to ensure this process is assessed by employing assessment experts to ensure all is implemented fairly and that it adheres to EEOC and DAD policy (Fisher, 2011). Thesis Statement Is Mozarts Requiem Mass Essay Example For Students

Thesis Statement Is Mozarts Requiem Mass Essay The Requiem is the most performed and studied pieces of music history and the story of the mysterious commission of Mozart Requiem is a well known. The Requiem Mass reveals not only a mastery of musical imagery, but also the composers own view about life and death. Content Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born January 27, 1756 in Salisbury to Leopold and Maria Anna Mozart. He was the seventh and last child to be born and only the second to survive, along With his older sister Manner. At an early age, Mozart had a gift with music. He began to compose at age five and in 1761 made his first public appearance with his father. Leopold was proud of his sons many gifts and paraded Mozart around Europe to perform at concert halls and courts. Even though throughout his childhood Mozart was often bed ridden with illness, he would compose and return to touring once his illnesses let up. In fact, Mozart was always composing, no matter where he went. One account from Mozart hairdresser states that Mozart carried a small notebook with him to jot down ideas and notes as they came and went. To better understand the events of 1791 it is important to understand other critical events in Mozart life. On August 4, 1782, at the age of 26, Mozart married Constance Weber at SST. Stephens Cathedral in Vienna. Nine years later, Mozart died in 1791 at the age of 35. Before his death, Constance gave birth to their sixth child Franz Xavier Wolfgang. Franz, however, was only the second hill, along with Karl, to survive; four died in infancy. After Mozart death, Constance married George Nisei. Constance died in 1842. Unfortunately, Karl and Franz both died before having legitimate children to carry on the Mozart family name. Various sources recall the events in 1791 leading up to Mozart death. The Story begins With Count Franz von Wallets, Who commissioned a requiem mass for his wife Anna who died at age 20 at Chutzpahs Castle in Austria on February 14, 1791. Wallets often composed his own work, and he and his wife performed concerts for the people of his manor. Wallets was known for using ghost rites. He would commission works from famous composers and pay a good sum for them. He would take the complete work back to Chutzpah, recopy all the parts by hand and pass them off as his own compositions. In various accounts the people Of Walleyes house claimed that they were always aware that Wallets was deceiving them, but played along for enjoyment. Annas death would require a large scale, glorious requiem mass. Naturally, Mozart help would be needed; he would be the ghostwriter. In the early summer of 1791 a gray messenger appeared at the Mozart apartment in Vienna With an unsigned letter. The author of the letter stated that a requiem mass was to be composed for a man who would remain anonymous, but who would like a loved one to be remembered. The letter asked Mozart to respond and state a desired sum in writing; the messenger would respond shortly. After discussing the matter with his wife Constance, he decided to accept the offer. The messenger returned with the amount Mozart requested, a sum to around 30 ducats, and promised more money when the requiem was completed, The commissioner did not request any specific tort the mass should take, and this became Mozart decision while composing. He chose the traditional form with the Dies Eire (Latin hymn sung in s Mass for the dead) as the Sequence. The writing of the Requiem was interrupted when Mozart traveled to Prague after the birth of his second son Franz Xavier Wolfgang Mozart. .u263cefd5299b1e7633973c5d3242f785 , .u263cefd5299b1e7633973c5d3242f785 .postImageUrl , .u263cefd5299b1e7633973c5d3242f785 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u263cefd5299b1e7633973c5d3242f785 , .u263cefd5299b1e7633973c5d3242f785:hover , .u263cefd5299b1e7633973c5d3242f785:visited , .u263cefd5299b1e7633973c5d3242f785:active { border:0!important; } .u263cefd5299b1e7633973c5d3242f785 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u263cefd5299b1e7633973c5d3242f785 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u263cefd5299b1e7633973c5d3242f785:active , .u263cefd5299b1e7633973c5d3242f785:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u263cefd5299b1e7633973c5d3242f785 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u263cefd5299b1e7633973c5d3242f785 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u263cefd5299b1e7633973c5d3242f785 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u263cefd5299b1e7633973c5d3242f785 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u263cefd5299b1e7633973c5d3242f785:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u263cefd5299b1e7633973c5d3242f785 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u263cefd5299b1e7633973c5d3242f785 .u263cefd5299b1e7633973c5d3242f785-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u263cefd5299b1e7633973c5d3242f785:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: The Link Between Heart Disease and Cancer Explorat EssayIn Prague he performed his latest Opera La Clemency did Toto (written for the coronation of Emperor Leopold II), After returning in late September, Mozart continued writing. He had laid out ideas in a form called participle; which are his brief sketches of music (referred to by Constance as Title scraps of paper). In late September Mozart famous opera Die Kafuffle ¶tee was completed and a success. Its completion gave Mozart the opportunity to work solely on the Requiem. Mozart worked night and day, focusing all Of his energy on the Requiem. As the composing continued, Mozart grew more and more emotionally attached t o the piece. Soon he became delusional and started to believe that he was writing this death mass for himself. In 1829, Constance recalled her husbands words. M l know must die, he exclaimed six months before he actually did. Toothsome has given me aqua tiffany and has calculated the precise time of my death, for which they have ordered a Requiem, it is for myself am rating this, On January 7, 1792 the Sulzberger Intelligently first mentioned the requiem and Mozart mental state: Now Mozart had to write, which he did, often with tears in his eyes, always saying l am writing a Requiem for myself. Other accounts based on Constancys statements trot Cholesterols biography in 1793 state that the requiem was getting on his over-sensitive nerves On November 20, Mozart was forced to retire to his bed following the early symptoms of his fatal illness. Though he decreased physically, Mozart favor ethic did not, there was still an incomplete requiem to be finished. Mozart irked on the piece until his final hours. At pm on December 4 surrounded by Constance, her sister, and two friends (singers from his opera), Mozart sang the alto parts of the requiem with his friends and family singing the other voice parts. They sang through to the Lachrymose, where Mozart had stopped composing. The last thing did was to imitate the kettledrums in his Requiem. Due to illness, Mozart body had become completely swollen. After the doctor performed a regular bleeding in hopes of lessening the swelling. He provided a cold compress for Mozart. At the time of his death, Mozart was not living in penury. He had had serious financial difficulties from 1788 to 1790, but the last year of his life was exceptionally remunerative. He lived well, but not extravagantly, and despite some debts, his prospects for increasing wealth were excellent. Shortly after, Mozart lost consciousness and died at one in the morning December 5, 1791 at the young age of 35. Mozart was buried at SST. Marx Cemetery in Vienna and placed in an unmarked grave. Constance never attended the funeral nor visited the gravesite. Shortly after Mozart death, the people of Vienna began circulating rumors that Wallets was the mysterious person who commissioned the piece. After studying letters and records from 1 Musicologists believe that Mozart and Constance ever aware who their commissioner was and played along for the money _ Mozart was in debt and tried to accept as many offers as he could. In fact, evidence indicates that Michael Bugbear (Mozart dear friend) might have helped Mozart get the job. Bugbear lived in one of Walleyes buildings and worked in the building where Franz Anton Letting (the gray messenger and another friend Of Mozart) worked as administrator and marketing manager Of Walleyes factory. Mozart Notes Mozart is the primary composer of his Requiem. Of the finished score, Mozart completed the Introit and Keri as well as the Offertory. The two fugues Mozart developed in the Keri are original and Mozart expressed his intentions to S;smear to repeat this section at the close of the mass. Mozart also composed a majority of the first five movements of the sequence up to the eighth measure to the Lachrymose. In the Connotations, the majority to the vocal parts are pure Mozart, as is the orchestration at the beginning of the piece. At measure 26 the top notes of each chord in the orchestra are his, and the rest have been added. In the Lachrymose the orchestration in the first measures are his and the top toe in the chord from measures 3 through Bare his. .ue9a20406ff15320a567915576e1def6a , .ue9a20406ff15320a567915576e1def6a .postImageUrl , .ue9a20406ff15320a567915576e1def6a .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .ue9a20406ff15320a567915576e1def6a , .ue9a20406ff15320a567915576e1def6a:hover , .ue9a20406ff15320a567915576e1def6a:visited , .ue9a20406ff15320a567915576e1def6a:active { border:0!important; } .ue9a20406ff15320a567915576e1def6a .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .ue9a20406ff15320a567915576e1def6a { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .ue9a20406ff15320a567915576e1def6a:active , .ue9a20406ff15320a567915576e1def6a:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .ue9a20406ff15320a567915576e1def6a .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .ue9a20406ff15320a567915576e1def6a .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .ue9a20406ff15320a567915576e1def6a .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .ue9a20406ff15320a567915576e1def6a .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .ue9a20406ff15320a567915576e1def6a:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .ue9a20406ff15320a567915576e1def6a .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .ue9a20406ff15320a567915576e1def6a .ue9a20406ff15320a567915576e1def6a-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .ue9a20406ff15320a567915576e1def6a:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Alcohol Abuse EssayThe voice parts are also authentic through to measure eight, where Mozart stopped abruptly and moved into the Offertory. Musicologists have studied the differences between Mozart and S;smarter techniques. Maunder explains that one can tell exactly Which notes and phrases are Mozart and which are S;smarter by examining the grammatical mistakes S;smear constantly makes. Nevertheless, Mozart is the primary composer; therefore a conductor should express the emotion Mozart was feeling while composing this piece. This feeling is gathered by examining what notes Mozart actually composed himself. While conducting this piece I will emphasize the vocal parts of the Confutation and the delicateness of the Lachrymose following Mozart directions, and taking into account S;smarter completion.

Reader Response to The Good Soldier Essays - Modernist Literature

Reader Response to The Good Soldier Essays - Modernist Literature Reader Response to The Good Soldier Reader Response to The Good Soldier Ford Maddox Ford?s The Good Soldier is saturated with ironies and ambiguities. It is told through the voice of Dowell, giving his interpretation on the events that unfolded around him as well as those that involved him. ?This is the saddest story I have ever heard? is the opening line to the novel and although there are points of sadness embedded throughout the experiences of the individuals, the saddest event is the obliviousness of Dowell. The general irony that overlay the first half of the novel is the ?heart condition? that both Florence and Captain Ashburnham each suffer from. The only condition they seem to have is allowing their heart to beat for those other than the ones they are married to. The spouses, Dowell and Leonora each do what is needed in order to keep their other half comfortable, happy and healthy. Their time is spent in a health spa, where the respective couples meet one another. Dowell?s narration is all over the place, jumping from time to time without much clarification. His re-telling of the events also shifts continents, from the Americas to Europe. The Dowell?s are American, while the Ashburnham?s are English. These memories are impressions that have been left on Dowell and he recalls them with eagerness and certain sense of respect for Captain Ashburnham. Dowell?s marriage is one that has never been consummated, however his bride experienced a sexual relationship prior to her marriage. She has not divulged this information to Dowell, other than to say: ?Once I tried to have a lover but I was so sick at the heart, so utterly worn out that I had to send him away? and now her newly diagnosed heart condition does not allow for sexual activity. Dowell accepts the doctor?s orders for his lack of passion in his marriage and continues to pine for Florence as well as play nursemaid to her. Florence is an interesting character, full of secrets as well as deception. Florence understood exactly what having a heart condition entailed, since her uncle had suffered from one as well. She seemed to have observed his behaviors and helplessness and modeled her own from the experience. While leaving on a ship for Europe for their honeymoon, Florence warns Dowell that she suffers from a heart condition. From here the lie continues to grow and Dowell?s job as an attendant to Florence is secured. Dowell is kept in the dark on many activities of his new bride. He later reflects that he never let her out of his sight, however the rules that Florence had in place allowed her privacy needed to carry on extramarital affairs. Once the couple made it to Paris for their honeymoon, Florence?s affair with Jimmy was reignited. This was the man who was her uncle?s companion and who was her first sexual escapade. However, her inability to travel ironically keeps her from Jimmy in time. Her own excuse created so that she could be with him is the same one that keeps her from him. Edward Ashburnham is a man full of his own secrets and infidelities. Edward is seen by Dowell as a ?cleanest looking sort of chap; - an excellent magistrate, a first rate soldier, one of the best landlords.? Dowell is envious of Edward?s suave appearance and sexual conquests and prowess. Edward also captures the attention of Florence with his sexual prowess, as she falls in love with him. Dowell is none the wiser, as Edward is a man with whom you can trust with your wife. Dowell?s storytelling unfolds as though he mind is slowly unfolding the events and piecing them together as he tells them. At times, it seems as though he tells us of his realizations of the actions of those around him as they make sense to him. Dowell loves Florence, and wants nothing more than to care for her, but he also hates her. ?I hate Florence with such a hatred that I would not spare her an eternity of loneliness.? Dowell sees Florence for what she truly was, but never sees Edward in the same light. Edward and Leonora have no relations with one another.

Write a summary of each of the following texts and discuss how the authors address the subject of identity - Essay Example If economics and political figures do not fix the globalization structure, people will not have what they want, which will become a part of their identity. Therefore, each decision that man makes affects his true self and identity. In the twenty-first century, economic changes were threatening the third American middle class because U.S. corporations started to transfer production jobs and service jobs to low-wage workers. Along with that, in many Third World countries of export-oriented development strategies made the global market for both skilled and unskilled labor to grow bigger. Reducing the cost of such imports as toys from China and shoes from Indonesia, it destroyed the jobs. Unfortunately, every sector from foreign competition, an ever growing number of manufacturing and service jobs were eliminated by technological innovations, which is a trend that will probably prove even more important than globalization over time.. Due to technologically driven increases in productivity, advances in manufacturing and automation have slashed the prices of consumer appliances such as televisions and personal computers. However, productivity growth threatens the middle class and other social classes in three ways due to the poor structure of globalization, which could increase economic growth if reconstructed correctly. Within the book, it seems that a cow in a foreign country makes more money than anyone in the world, which most economists cannot realize as a problem. With that fact, the book suggest that globalization needs to be restructured in order to benefit everyone since their actions define their identity. In â€Å"Art of Darkness,† blacks are settled in Britain, however some do not receive the same education and treatment as white students due to the fact that they are viewed as a minority race Furthermore, because of their lack culture acknowledgement from teachers, sometimes British blacks

Android The Most Popular Mobile Platform Computer Science Essay

Android The Most Popular Mobile Platform Computer Science Essay Introduction Mobile development platform is a technology that enables mobile developers to create of production and processes that support present and future development of mobile applications. In the assignment, I will compare three of the leading mobile development platforms in the market which is Android, BlackBerry, and Java ME with analyses on the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for each of the different platforms. Android SDK Android is the most popular mobile platform in the world. Android delivers a complete set of software for mobile devices; an operating system, middleware and key mobile applications. (Android Overview, Open Handset Alliance 2010) In 2005, Google acquired the startup company Android Inc. to start the development of Android platform for mobile. The Android SDK was first release in November 2007. Google announced the availability of Android SDK Candidate 1.0. Google offers a comprehensive software development kits with a variety of packages that are available a la carte under the Android SDK Manager. In October 2008, Android is an open source and Google releases the code under Apache License. (Android Overview, Open Handset Alliance 2010) STRENGTHS Google Google is one of the most well known technology company in the world. Android is backed up by Google in collaboration with Open Handset Alliance. Most of the potential partners, venders and developers will believe that Google will give more attention and credibility on Android OS compare to other mobile OS because of the brand. Device Unlike the Apples IOS where you have the only one option for hardware supplier which is Apple Inc. The Android OS is open source and it is compatible with most of the devices such as Samsung, HTC, Sony and etc. This will provides consumers wider choices from which manufacturer to choose to buy their devices. Open source The Android OS is built from a Linux based using JAVA language for the programming. Most of the developers, especially freelancer they will choose to develop mobile application by using Android where we can get the information and source code easily. This makes developers to create many free Apps for Android market (Currently known as Goggle Play Store). (Android SWOT analysis, Arun Kumar 2012) WEAKNESSES Multimedia Support Android Multimedia Support is less unlike the Apple which has centralized in iTunes application and marketplace. Android does not have a central source of multimedia material. Upgrading of OS reliance on mobile manufacturers When Google releases a new version of Android OS, it has to wait for the mobile manufacturer to make a compatibility test and modify the code to make sure it works properly on their hardware configuration. Least of security- Since Android Application development is open source, so it was always prone to external threats like malwares. OPPORTUNITIES Compatibility Android OS not only compatible with mobile, it also compatible for tablet PC and e-book reader. There have been several release of Android tablets over last few months from computer machine manufacturer such as HP, ASUS, Dell and ACER. Developing Countries Google has a huge opportunity to develop inexpensive devices using the Android platform in developing countries. (Hylander 2010). Android also has high potential growth in Asia and Africa Countries and it has triggered up the sales of smart phones and tablet PCs. Developer friendly Android give the opportunities to developers to develop advance application and earn some revenue from the sales of application and advertising. THREATS Competitive There were many competitors in the market are going to fight with Android for their share of the market. For example, Symbian, RIM, iOS and Windows. System Crashed Downloading of application from un-trusted website may make the operating system crash or affect other application in the smart phone. Androids cheaper initialize installation in low cost mobile phone which will affects the buyer compared to other platform such as iOS in IPhone. BlackBerry BlackBerry is a brand of wireless handheld devices and services developed by Canadian telecommunications company Research In Motion (RIM).(RIM 2012) The first BlackBerry device, an email pager, was released in 1999. (Davis, Jim January 20,1999) Most of the BlackBerry devices are well known in their send and receive push email and instant messages ability especially the BlackBerry Messenger service. They are also designed to function the devices as personal digital assistants, gaming devices and so on. STRENGTHS BlackBerry is a recognition brand of mobile development platform. BlackBerry Messenger allows their users to text unlimited with no extra cost. Several types of form-factors available in BlackBerry mobile phones such as small keyboard, large keyboard, flip phone, candy bar and no keyboard. BlackBerry is an encrypted military-grade security platform, with 100% market share at FBI, CIA, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, major consultancies and major investment banks. BlackBerry is the only one platform approved for use in US national security agencies. (Raman885 November 2011) WEAKNESSES BlackBerry has a poor applications store experience which is not able to install on all devices. Most of the applications which are available for iOS and android devices are not going to be available for blackberry mobile platform. BlackBerry is a business oriented phone, most of the fun application available for other markets but not for blackberry devices. There were two different operating systems between touch screen devices and non-touch screen devices. OPPORTUNITIES BlackBerry Partners Fund is used to make applications are downloadable from independent companies which might be help to gain more market share. BlackBerry World is the most profitable mobile application store for developers. BlackBerry has the ability to perform synchronization of email, calendar and contact with compatible servers. THREATS The main threat facing by BlackBerry is their competitors which include iOS of Apple, Android platform of Google, Windows Phone from Microsoft and other mobile development platforms. JAVA ME JAVA ME also known as Java platform Micro Edition. Java ME provides a flexible environment for application running on mobile and embedded devices such as personal digital assistants and mobile phones. STRENGTHS Java ME is offering flexible environment for multiple mobile application. Java ME included the object-oriented programming features make large programs easier to write. Java ME is an open sources platform for mobile development. WEAKNESSES It is not a complete development platform but just a virtual machine. JAVA ME only limited to embedded and small devices such as mobile phones. Java ME is only mostly open source whereas android is completely open sources. OPPORTUNITIES It enables developer to build sophisticated applications for multiple applications with confidence. The most popular and widely accepted development platform for wireless devices from leading phones manufactures. THREATS Android development platform is the main threats for Java ME platform especially the user interface android support touch screen smart phones. Most of the developers may choose Android instead of Java ME as the platform because of the number of users of android OS phone are increasing. Conclusion The most ideal platform that I choose is Android mobile development platform. First of all,

AtlantiCare and the “Voice of the Customer” Essay

Introduction Located in southeastern New Jersey, AtlantiCare is a nonprofit organization that provides acute and chronic health care services in the following areas: cancer, trauma, cardiac care, stroke, behavioral health, urgent care, hospice, home care, family medicine, occupational medicine, child care, early learning, and mission care for the homeless. Because of the nature of the services it provides quality is essential at AtlantiCare, and the organization delivers it. In fact, AtlantiCare applies the principles of total quality so comprehensively and consistently that the organization has received the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. At the core of AtlantiCare’s quality program is a process the organization calls the â€Å"Voice of the Customer.† This is a five-phase process used to make the organization’s patients partners in its continual-improvement efforts. Voice of the Customer identifies patient requirements and then makes sure that AtlantiCare’s services satisfy these requirements. The company’s customer focus does not stop with external customers. It also includes internal customers-employees (Goetsh & Davis, 2011). Total quality is not a concept anymore in day to day operations at AtlantiCare. It is part of the management team work ethic and philosophy, and the rest of the nonprofit company staff. AtlantiCare applies the principles of total quality in such a way that not only takes care of its customers, but also its internal customers. By doing so, the company has achieved organizational excellence. The case that follows is about the steps taken by the administration at AtlantiCare and also the lessons learned by the executives and the staff to become a world-class health care provider. Questions AtlantiCare has learned how to apply the principles of effective communication in a Total Quality setting. If total quality is the engine, communication is the oil that keeps it running. Much of what total quality is all about depends on effective communication. Without it, total quality breaks down. Some of the key elements of the total quality concept are customer focus (internal and external), total employee involvement and empowerment, leadership, teamwork, decision making, problem prevention, problem solving, and conflict resolution (Goetsh & Davis, 2011). The core of the AtlantiCare’s Total Quality system is a process called the â€Å"Voice of the Customer.† This is a five-phase process used to make the organization’s patients partners in its continual-improvement efforts. Voice of the Customer identifies patient requirements and then makes sure that AtlantiCare’s services satisfy these requirements. The part that AtlantiCare applies perfectly well i s the focus in its internal and external customers. This approach has giving the nonprofit company the information necessary to fix its mistakes and to reengineer its process, so AtlantiCare keeps its customers satisfied. Basically, what AtlantiCare does is to listen to all the stakeholders, following the principles of effective communication: message received, message understood. To listen responsively, managers and employees must learn to simultaneously use their ears, eyes, brains, and hearts. Responsive listening can pay substantial dividends for managers in a total quality setting (Goetsh & Davis, 2011). PepsiCo and IKEA are among the top companies were people wants to work at. It is not only because these companies have a recognized name or they are multinational companies. It is basically because these two companies also apply Total Quality programs where listening the suggestions and concerns of its employees and customers is a very big component. According to IKEA Welcome Inside 2012 report they in many markets we are the employer of choice, and latest results from our co-worker satisfaction survey, VOICE, show a very high level of satisfaction among our co-workers. The VOICE result also identifies areas where we can improve. IKEA is listening actively. They paid attention to their employees. They are sensitive to the information they receive, and also they act in consequence. They are being creative by developing programs to help their employees to grow and develop. In 2012, PepsiCo was listed among the Top 25 ‘World’s Best Multinational Workplaces’ by the Great Place to Work Institute  (PepsiCo, 2012). PepsiCo is always looking for talent and sustainability for them it means to invest in their associates to help them succeed; providing a safe and inclusive workplace globally; and respecting, supporting and investing in the local communities where they operate. In all of their markets, they are developing the talent of associates, preparing them to lead PepsiCo into the future. Through PepsiCo University and online courses offered by their global functions, more than 8,000 of their associates completed more than 11,500 courses in 2012. The professional development they offer to their associates enables them to develop the skills, capabilities and mindsets needed to drive sustainable financial performance and value creation. PepsiCo is combating the inhibitors of listening by providing to its employees with opportunities of professional development. Conclusion In order to have a Total Quality program that works effectively it is important to put at the core of the program the communication piece. Especially the information that is brought and communicated by the customers is the piece that has to have a mechanism that assures that it is inputted in to the Total Quality program. In the case of AtlantiCare, the nonprofit company has a system in place that voices the suggestions, complains, and demands of both customers: external and internal. The part that AtlantiCare applies perfectly well is the focus in its internal and external customers. In the case of IKEA, the company has its own program called the â€Å"VOICE.† The VOICE result also identifies areas where we can improve. IKEA is listening actively. They paid attention to their employees. They are sensitive to the information they receive, and also they act in consequence. The area where this program could improve is in the external customer. According to this program they are only surveying the employees, but they are not taking in consideration the important information that the external customers have and can be used in the company’s advantage. On the other hand, in 2012, PepsiCo  was listed among the Top 25 ‘World’s Best Multinational Workplaces’ by the Great Place to Work Institute (PepsiCo, 2012), which means PepsiCo takes care of its internal customers. In all of their markets, they are developing the talent of associates, preparing them to lead PepsiCo into the future. Through PepsiCo University and online courses offered by their global functions, more than 8,000 of their associates completed more than 11,500 courses in 2012. PepsiCo provides for its employees professional developing opportunities and career growth, but they do not have a program in place that assures that its employees are providing information that could help the company. Less say they are not putting communication at the core of its Total Quality program. Finally, both companies could learn something from AtlantiCare by implementing Total Quality programs that included their external customers. Especially in the case of IKEA that sells directly to the final consumer. References David L. Goetsch, Stanley B. Davis. Nursing Emergencies

You are an RN (Registered Nurse), and driving on a parkway. You see an automobile collision with serious injury. Should you stop and perform first aid?Yes, as a registered nurse and as a human being, I am obliged to stop and perform first aid should I see an automobile collision with serious injury. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, registered nurses (RNs), regardless of specialty or work setting, perform basic duties that include treating patients, educating patients and the public about various medical conditions, and providing advice and emotional support to patients’ family members. This definition shows that there is also the public included among the responsibilities of registered nurses. Nurses have for many years been awarded the top ranking in opinion polls about which occupations are most trusted by the general public. Some people might opine that nursing duties only relate to clinical settings and they tend to focus only nurse-patient relationship. Duties of the nurse exist only within the parameters of the hospital. Some might even argue that such intervention in roadside emergencies can get a nurse into legal complications. But then, nursing is a profession that the public depend on for support and care especially in emergency situations.Historically, nurses have been associated with emergency responses. In early times, even though nurses were not as much educated and trained as the nurses of today, they offered their nursing services with great dedication and motivation. They were known for their self-sacrificing nature and offering a human touch that says â€Å"I care.† Nursing history is replete with examples of nurses who have knowingly incurred great risk in order to care for those in need of nursing or to contribute to the advancement of health science. In the United States, the Civil War is cited regularly for the role of volunteer nurses and for the stimulus it gave Clara Barton to organize the American Red Cross, wh ich she eventually accomplished in 1881 (Williams, 2003). That humane touch has been characteristic of the nursing profession. The first plank of the Code for Nurses states â€Å"The nurse provides services with respect for human dignity and the uniqueness of the client, unrestricted by considerations of social or economic status, personal attributes, or the nature of health problems.† This central axiom of respect for persons directs the profession (ANA, 1994). The nurse is not at liberty to abandon those in need of nursing care. According to Gebbie and Qureshi (2006), â€Å"The fundamental goal of nursing, to assist individuals to their highest possible level of functioning in the face of health and illness challenges, is never more needed than under emergency conditions†. This means, a registered nurse is obligated to attend to the wounded person in a roadside emergency.According to the Code for Nurses, nurses may morally refuse to participate in care, but only on th e grounds of either client advocacy or moral objection to a specific type of intervention. As applied to nursing, a moral obligation exists for the nurse if the following four criteria are present: The client is at significant risk of harm, loss, or damage if the nurse does not assist; The nurse's intervention or care is directly relevant to preventing harm; The nurse's care will probably prevent harm, loss, or damage to the client; The benefit the client will gain outweighs any harm the nurse might incur and does not present more than an acceptable risk to the nurse (ANA, 2006). In the case of the roadside accident, the victims need to be attended to by a healthcare professional. Prompt medical attention by the RN can make a difference between life and death. Moreover, there is no personal risk. Hence there is a moral obligation on the part of the nurse to attend to the victims.Society has come to rely on nursing and to expect that it will rise to the health demands of virtually any occasion. The only problem registered nurses encounter during such roadside interventions is that they may be forced to take decisions beyond those they are qualified for. But then, they can be protected by the Good Samaritan Doctrine which is a legal principle that prevents a rescuer who has voluntarily helped a victim in distress from being successfully sued for ‘wrongdoing.’ The purpose of this doctrine is to prevent people from refusing to help for fear of legal repercussions if they make mistakes in treatment (Neumann, 2005).The practice of the professional nurse extends beyond the confines of the immediate setting where the nurse practices to the broader environment (AU, 2006). According to a survey of many nurses all respondents claimed to have medical assistance and would do so again, but about half of them would not do so unconditionally. However, no respondent has experienced legal complications from providing medical help though they had â€Å"heard† or â€Å"read† of such cases. Thus, it is the moral obligation of a registered nurse to help any accident victim in an emergency situation.Critique of Journal Article:Gebbie, K., Qureshi, K. in the article titled â€Å"A Historical Challenge: Nurses and Emergencies† (September 30, 2006) reviews the beginning of emergency nursing as a specialty. The authors also discuss the 21st century expectations about nursing during unexpected disaster situations and various nursing roles related to emergency care. The article is detailed and has many links to related articles. The article says that both paid and volunteer nurses have played a huge role historically in fighting epidemics, HIV and AIDS. Later, nurses became known for their wartime services. By the middle 20th century, emergency rooms came into being. Today, emergency care has become a nursing specialty. The authors then point to the growth of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the International Rescue Co mmittee. The role of the nurses in local public health emergencies is highlighted. The authors conclude that nurses have been key players during various emergency situations in the past. In the future, any kind of emergency in the community can impact the public's health and nurses are needed for prevention, surveillance and response of every type.At the end of the 20th century, national thinking about emergency preparedness led to two important developments: identification of the key competencies needed for effective emergency response, and increased attention to planning for and practicing emergency response. The authors point out that it was necessary for nursing to identify the core abilities needed to become a part of an emergency response team and perform well. Therefore the UG nursing curriculum was adapted by the International Nursing Coalition for Mass Casualty Education (INCMCE) to assure communities that their professional nurses were competent to respond when needed. The a rticle includes tables that list the competencies for public health workers, and the currently available emergency response competency sets applicable to nursing and the sources from which these data can be accessed in their entirety. Today, it has been recognized that there needs to be an inter-agency, interdisciplinary response, and that nearly all emergencies have potential health consequences. The authors conclude that nurses will continue to be key players in the local and national level emergency response as we move through the 21st century and that the fundamental goal of nursing, to assist individuals to their highest possible level of functioning in the face of health and illness challenges, is never more needed than under emergency conditions. The article is written in chronological sequence and is highly informative. The authors discuss present day trends in detail in the context of the terrorists attack on the World Trade Center and Hurricane Katrina. The included tables and references prove to be very useful in understanding the competency sets needed for emergency responses. This article underlines the need for competency in emergency response. This means nurses should be given better basic and continuing education and should be trained to meet such emergency situations through hospitals, public health centers, and community drills. Green Packaging International Business Issues Assignment Table of Contents Green Packaging and World Hunger Page 3 Impact on Packaging Industry and Consumers Page 3-4 Dealing Green Packaging and World Hunger Page 4-5 Possible Solutions Page 5 Green Packaging and China Page 6 Reflection Page 6 Works Cited Page 7-8 Green Packaging and World Hunger According to the Packaging Association, over 30 percent of all food produced globally is wasted. More specifically, each year, worldwide, a third of all food is thrown away or lost, while more than 800 million people suffer from hunger. (Harris, 2014) Improper packaging design is one of the reasons cited for food and beverage waste around the world. As a result, the packaging industry has been asked to come up with innovative green designs that will help prevent food discarded. Sustainable packaging solutions are just one of the ways to bring more food to more tablesà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â‚¬ helping millions of people around the world who suffer from hunger. The packaging industry itself is extended all around the world and this issue impacts international sectors in multiple ways. Though it is not the first time green packaging has come into vision, the call to change up designs in the packaging industry for a more green approach will cause business and companies to go out of their way to create alternatives in order to prevent food waste. Overall, it will be a global effort to research the various wastes in supply chains and to identify packaging opportunities for innovation in saving food and feeding the hungry (Harris, 2014). Impact on Packaging Industry and Consumers The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations created the PAC Food Waste initiative in response to a recent report regarding food waste and hunger around the world. The organization estimated that to ensure the worldà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s population could be fed; food production must incre ase by approximately 70 percent. However, it was stated that during the path from farms to markets to consumers, more than 33 percent of all food produced is lost or wasted (Harris, 2014). Undoubtedly, by the percentage loss of food in the chain, the business industry itself is not very efficient nor productive with transporting its goodsà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â‚¬ causing a major loss and reduction in various aspects such as in money, time, and products themselves. With this request for sustainable packaging in foods and beverages, green packaging requires more research and documentation when being designed. More initiative from the packaging industry and consideration of materials, processing, and its life cycle have to be taken. Sustainable packaging is not just the vague concept of green movement that many businesses and companies around the world have been trying to include in their products over the past years (Sustainable Packaging, 2014). Green packaging today has evolved into som ething much more and only recently has the world realized fixing up the packaging industry can help feed the globe. Regarding consumers, the issue of green packaging and hunger has more likely impacted buyer mindsets. A majority of consumers do not think about food and beverage packaging in terms of à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‹Å"helpingà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ othersà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â‚¬ helping world hunger. Most of the time, it is more about the product packaging itself, how it looks like, and occasionally about whether it is good for the environment or not. With this taken into account, efforts in educating the broader community about its role in preventing food waste must be implemented (Harris, 2014). Consumers and customers of any product around the world are to be asked to become more socially aware of this rising issue, and to take into consideration a productà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s packaging when purchasing; thinking about the consequences of food waste and how others donà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t have access to this food. With the help of consumers around the globe, the world should be able to aid those who suffer from hunger. However, consumers that are already knowledgeable in green packaging and its relation to hunger around the world donà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t always purchase food with sustainable packaging. As a consumer, one would think to just buy whatever they are used to and like, etc. Not to mention, generally, products with sustainable packaging are more expensive than products with regular feasible packaging. Taking that into consideration, having the packaging industry use green ideas will most likely raise the prices of products to accommodate, causing foods and beverage prices to rise. In turn, the concept of green packaging itself may be burdensome consumers. However, feelings towards the issue of paying for green packaging differ from person to person, as everyone has their own viewpoint. Dealing Green Packaging and World Hunger All over the world, companie s have dealt with this issue of green packaging and food waste one step at a time. Approaches to treating the issue of waste have been a series of ups and downs, and experimental designs for the industry. Around the world, there are multiple companies and brands that have tried to deal with the issue in their own way by providing particular remedies for wasteful packaging. For example, Global Green USA recently launched a trial shipment of seafood using 100% recyclable packaging. The seafood was to be delivered from Chesapeake Bay to Boston. With this, the company wanted to test the water-resistance of cardboard packaging by shipping seafood in ice (Gerlat, 2013). Compared to plastic and other fibers, cardboard packaging is a better alternative in terms of the environment, however the real concern was testing it for its safety in carrying food without waste. The question of whether this packaging will actually be beneficial in terms of feeding the hungry is still in the air. S noqualmie Winery also recently launched a new sustainable packaging. Though not directly regarding issues of food waste, the new sustainable packaging uses less glass and reduces 13% of carbon emissions. As well, the new design requires less fuel to transport around the world (Lopez, 2014). Arguably, the money saved from transporting this product could be put towards the packaging itself, to make it à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‹Å"food wasteà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ friendly. With this in mind, this could also be another way to help those around the globe who are suffering from hunger. Another example includes specialty food importer and distributor Bespoke Foods. They have recently revealed a new environmentally friendly packaging for its Thai Taste meal kits. From tubs to now re-sealable pouches, the new packaging format has helped reduce the amount of packaging by approximately 70% and is now easier to use, allowing less food to spilled and wasted, and freshness to be retained (Writer, 2014). With po uches instead of tubs, the food saved from its packaging could once again be a way to help save those who are suffering from hunger around the world. However, even with companies and brands trying to deal with the issue, many businesses in the industry donà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t oversee the affects of wasteful packaging. Essentially, a majority of all businesses and companies have not effectively dealt with the issue of green packaging and food waste. In fact, it is very clear that there is ignorance in world hunger because if it is such an issue, why hasnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t the industry acted sooner? There are clear negative instances where this issue regarding packaging and world hunger has been poorly dealt with; however, the packaging industry is so vast that not everything is publicized and be simply fixed. Possible Solutions As mentioned previously, green packaging for food and beverages has become a rising issue over the years and it has been increasingly more important to the world. Since then, manufacturers themselves have come up with various green packaging solutions. Though not all have caught on, or were the best, green packaging has slowly been making its way into the world market. The issue of food waste due to packaging has been approached through various new ideas such as compostable metallized papers. Essentially, compostable metallized papers are just an alternative to metallized films such as foil laminated papers and foil; which are not always easy to recycle and waste food (Goodbaum, 2012). With different weights and functionality, the food concealed is better protected and not wasted due to mishaps and difficult foiling with various foods. Another way this issue could possibly be resolved is through eco-friendly thermal boxes. These boxes control the temperature of the any food inside, and most importantly; contain leaks and spills (Goodbaum, 2012). With boxes that highly prevent leaks and spills, no food can be wasted. With t his, more efforts and food could go towards those who are hungry. Additionally, DuPont Packaging has gathered several innovative, sustainable, and cost/waste reduction solutions for green packaging from around the world. One example of their innovative ideas is FreshCase, a meat packaging that keeps meat fresher and longer to reduce food waste. With advanced packaging as such, the vacuum package maintains the meatà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s colour, locks in freshness, as well as has an extended shelfà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â‚¬ all of which can greatly help the issue of food waste and better packaging (DuPont, 2012). Even with all these different innovative ideas with green packaging, it is still up to the business industry chain to fix up its kinks, There is no single cure in waste reduction and world hunger, and the globe should address this issue in every link of the food supply chain, not just the packaging industry. Green Packaging and China Since last year, according to the China Fo od and Packaging Machinery Industry Association, there has been a growing trend in green packaging in China. Through cooperation amongst government and institutions, green packaging has been taking life in the country. Although the development of sustainable packaging has already gained some success in China, the country believes that they have a long way to go in terms of policies and regulations, environmental awareness, peopleà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s attitudes and various other factors (Ringier Packaging, 2013). China is one of the more prominent Asian countries that work towards a greener packaging industry. Specifically, since 2006, international sustainable packaging company Be Green Packaging LLC has simultaneously been expanding its existing manufacturing capacity in China to meet the rapidly growing global market demand for sustainable packaging (Faerman, 2014). With China and other countries, Be Green Packaging manufactures and distributes compostable packaging for food and consumer-packaging industries around the world. The company aims to be wholesome of people, environmentally friendly, and at the same time help reduce food waste globally to help hunger. With this company in China, the countryà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s efforts in trying to become a more green industry are slowing make its way. Reflection Usually, when one thinks about green packaging, the first thing that comes into mind is the environment; a type of packaging is meant to just benefit the planet itself. However, not many people around the world can connect packaging to hunger. I myself did not see the connection before beginning this research. To be honest, not once did I ever think that the packaging of foods and beverages could be a problem and indirectly cause world hunger. At the same time, I did not believe that fixing up packaging designs could actually help the hungry. Asia has the largest number of hungry people in the world and China specifically already has warning signs of high population and shrinking cropland (WFP, 2014). Having such a large population, aiming to have a greener packaging industry will be beneficial to China. With the large population, it can help others and themselves in terms of feeding its people who also suffer from hunger, as well as spreading the awareness of the issue. With Chinaà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s efforts in a greener approach and prevention of food waste, I believe the country should expand and gather more assistance from other countries to make green packaging more prevalent; not just in China, but also worldwide. This is a global issue, and with this, more people around the world who suffer from hunger due to poor packaging need to be known so that they can get the food and assistance they need. With China already having a dominance and well know stand in the world market, if China were to collaborate with others, the vision of feeding those in need can become a reality. As stated previously, this is a global issue and a global effortà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â‚¬ assistance of the entire packaging industry is the worldà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s best solution. Works Cited DuPont.
